1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, and profile photo.
- Order information: delivery address, items ordered, order history, and special instructions.
- Vendor information: for store owners, we collect store name, business address, product listings, and identity/business verification documents.
- Driver information: for delivery drivers, we collect national ID/driving license, vehicle details, and verification documents required to activate a driver account.
- Payment information: billing details necessary to process payments and payouts. Card and payment details are processed by our third-party payment providers; Barq does not store full card numbers on its servers.
- Communications: messages you send to customer support, reviews, and ratings.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Location data: with your permission, we collect precise or approximate location to show nearby stores, calculate delivery distance/fees, and track order delivery in real time (for customers and drivers).
- Device information: device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, and mobile network information.
- Usage data: pages/screens viewed, features used, search queries, and interaction with notifications.
- Push notification tokens: used to send order updates, promotions, and account alerts.
- Camera and photo library: with your permission, used for uploading a profile photo, product images (vendors), or proof-of-delivery photos (drivers).
- Cookies and similar technologies: used on our website to keep you signed in and understand site usage.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and provide the Service.
- To process orders, payments, refunds, and payouts to vendors and drivers.
- To match orders with nearby vendors and available drivers, and to track deliveries in real time.
- To send order confirmations, delivery updates, and other transactional notifications.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To send promotional offers and marketing communications, where permitted, and which you may opt out of at any time.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To improve, personalize, and develop new features for the Service.

3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Vendors and drivers: necessary order, contact, and location details are shared between customers, the relevant vendor, and the assigned driver to fulfill an order.
- Service providers: payment processors, mapping/location services, cloud hosting, analytics, and push-notification providers who process data on our behalf.
- Legal and safety purposes: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Barq, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
